We are making every effort to reduce our environmental impact. Many of our products are built to a very high environmental standard using 'green' manufacturing processes and locally sourced, sustainably harvested wood. To help you spot these eco friendly products, we've added the emblems you see at left to every product that meets our high standards. This emblem is our assurance to you that by choosing that product you are making a positive impact on the health of our planet. Read the descriptions for those products to find out more about just what makes that particular product 'green'.

Even the products that do not bear the eco-friendly emblem have a positive environmental impact. Our products are made in the USA or Canada, so all of the transportation costs are greatly reduced. Products made overseas must be shipped great distances to our ports, then transported again to distribution centers. All of that consumes vast amounts of fuel and releases greenhouse gasses. Our products are built using locally sourced materials. When you purchase from us, your order is shipped directly to you from the manufacturer. There is no intermediate trip to a distribution center. The fewer times a product is moved, the less fuel is consumed. All of this contributes to a reduced carbon footprint compared with imported goods.

Internally, we are reducing our use of paper by using paperless technology as much as possible. We recycle or reuse all scrap paper, and keep our office energy efficient by installing extra insulation and setting our thermostat higher in the summer and lower in the winter.
